Moulin de Chatillon watermill exterior

A FRENCH WATERMILL RETREAT

Time moves slower here.

THE PROPERTY

Centuries of stone,
softened by the river.

Hidden within a lush river valley, Moulin de Chatillon is a lovingly restored watermill dating back to the 17th century. We have preserved the soul of the building — the mossy stone walls, the massive oak beams, the sound of water rushing beneath the floorboards.

This is a place to unhook from the modern world. There are no televisions, only crackling fireplaces and the gentle hum of the river. Days here are unhurried by design.

Sleeping Spaces

On the upper floor of the mill, four welcoming bedrooms invite relaxation in a peaceful and authentic atmosphere. The sleeping area is complemented by two bathrooms with bathtubs and toilets. As the bedrooms are only accessible by stairs, this space is unfortunately not suitable for people with reduced mobility.

As the sun descends over the valley, the mill terrace becomes the heart of the house. Local produce, carefully chosen wines, and the simple pleasure of a shared meal are enjoyed together in the gentle warmth of long summer evenings.

Between lingering conversations, games of billiards, and quiet moments facing nature, time seems to slow down. From the suspended terrace, the view over the valley invites you to fully embrace the serenity of this place.
